Fees & Reimbursements

UNDER 16 YEARS OLD

Orthodontic or dentofacial (ODF) treatment started
before the 16th birthday are supported in part by the health insurance at
70 to 100% of the Health Insurance reimbursement base. 

Your health insurance plan may cover part or all of the remaining costs
of the free fees in addition to the social security reimbursement: it is up to you to find out.

AFTER THE AGE OF 16

Your complementary health insurance may cover part of the free fees: It's up to you to find out.

Orthodontic treatment started after the age of 16 is no longer covered by the Assurance Maladie.

Except in special cases: in the case of orthodontic treatment accompanied by maxillofacial surgery, the Assurance Maladie may pay for one half-year of treatment (basis for reimbursement only) which is not renewable. Exceptionally, persons over 16 years of age may be covered by the Assurance Maladie for a half-year of treatment prior to surgery on the jaw. This six-month period is not renewable.

In order to benefit from it, the request for prior approval must be accompanied by a letter from
the practitioner who is to perform the surgery, explaining why the treatment is to be carried out.
The treatment must be started no later than 6 months after the date of the agreement.

Before the care

First consultation

Patients who are minors must be accompanied by a legal representative.

During the first consultation we will explain to you the broad outlines of an orthodontic treatment.

A clinical examination will determine whether or not orthodontic treatment is needed. After your agreement, this examination may be completed by an orthodontic assessment. This includes taking the clinical photos and X-ray images needed to draw up a diagnosis and an individualised treatment plan. After assessment, your orthodontist to propose the best therapeutic solution.

Particular attention is paid to the whole of the oro-myofascial functions of ventilation,
of mastication and swallowing: we will offer specialised treatment for you or your child.

Diagnostic report

Patients who are minors must be accompanied by a legal representative.

During this second appointment, we will give you all the explanations necessary to fully understand the treatment plan.

This is a privileged moment of exchange between the patient, the orthodontist and the rest of our team. All the administrative documents will also be given to you during this appointment (cooperation contract and detailed treatment plan, estimate, social security papers, etc.)
